2024 Bag Tags
Numbered bag tags for our year-round tag challenge. The mark, the position, and a QR code to the leaderboard on the front. The club's five values on the back.
A bag tag challenge is the simplest game a club can run. Everyone gets a numbered tag, you play anyone holding a tag, and the winner walks away with the lower number. It runs all year with no tournament director, which is why it works for a volunteer club.
The tag has three jobs on a piece of plastic the size of a credit card. It has to be recognizably ours from across a parking lot, so the mark takes most of the front. It has to carry a number big enough to read, so the position sits in the corner in the largest type on the tag. And it has to get people to the leaderboard without typing a URL on a phone with a disc in the other hand, so there’s a QR code.
Most tags are blank on the back. Ours carry the five values we wrote when we rebranded, People over play through Terrific tournaments, because the tag is the one club object every member handles every week.
Front. Position 1, the one everybody is trying to take.
Back. The club's five values, so the tag says what the club is for, not just who is winning.
Position 27.
