Majette Monster Mash
Seven years of brand, jerseys, trophies, and sponsor kit for the club's Halloween tournament, run on a custom Majette layout the Saturday before Halloween. 2026 brings a written design system and a new jersey.

The Monster Mash is Bay County Disc Golf’s Halloween tournament: a custom layout at the Monster at Majette, played the Saturday before Halloween, every year since 2020. 2026 is the seventh running.
An annual event is a brand problem more than a poster problem. The first year needs a look; every year after needs the same look with a new date, new sponsors, and enough novelty that people buy the jersey again. So the system is deliberately small: one character, two colors (purple and lime green), a circular badge that takes the year, and a sponsor lockup that rebuilds itself when the sponsor list changes. Flyers, 24×18 signs, social posts, trophies, and jerseys all come out of that.
The seventh year is the first with a written design system. “Disc golf after dark”: Midnight Navy as the field, Warm Bone for lettering, Muted Ember for the focal details, and the owl from the course mark rendered as tonal feathers across the shirt. Type is Jolly Lodger for the wordmark only, Barlow Condensed for names and numbers, Source Sans for everything that has to be read quickly. The 2026 jersey comes in navy and an inverted ember colorway, and the document that governs it is linked above, because a brand that lives in one person’s head is not a brand the club can keep.
The jersey is the piece people wait for. In 2024 it carried the character; in 2025 the shirt became the character’s jacket, lapels and buttons printed on the front, so the whole field turns into a room full of monsters on the first tee. Trophies are tombstones with a short poem engraved per division, because a Halloween tournament should not hand out the same plaque as a spring one.
The club store handles jersey pre-orders, and the tournament’s mobile course guide is its own project.

2026, navy. The new system: Midnight Navy, Warm Bone, Muted Ember, and the owl's feathers as a tonal pattern.

2026, ember. The inverted colorway.

2026 back. Barlow Condensed, tabular figures, so every number is the same width.

2026 back, ember.

The character. Everything else on this page is built from him.

The 2024 badge. The year changes; the circle and the two colors do not.

2025 jersey. The shirt is the jacket, so the field looks like a room full of monsters.

2025 back. Name, year, and the sponsor row that pays for the payouts.

2024 jersey.

2024 alternate, split green and purple.

Trophies are tombstones. Each one carries a poem for the division.
